Crochet: "Trinity" Stitch

Hi,
I was looking for some ideas for my new project, I have checked some patterns from internet, all I wanted to have a nice but easy to make stitches, then I found this stitch and love it!
I couldn't find the source or who made it, and how. But when I see the Diagram of the stitch, (which you will find on below) it was easy for me to make it! Suddenly started.
I have NO idea about the name of this stitch so that's why I made up a name as "Trinity" Stitch:)
PS: I do always share the source to my followers, But honestly this one just a picture and there is no address about it.. if some one knows it pls share with me the source I would like to share that information with my followers !

Crochet: "Granny Stripe" Baby Blanket

This time I would like to share one of my favourite crochet stitch with you.
Granny Stripe Blanket!
It is easy, simple but beautiful and most importantly endless!
You can make a big blanket for your bed, or make table cover, or baby blanket.
If you use different colours in each 2 rows, looks most beautiful. (when I find some more free time, I will do colourful one for my self, I have a lot of left overs, so I can use them for my project)
I made this blanket for my friend's baby boy:)

Hook: 3.5 mm
Yarn: Nako Baby, Bebe Color (blue one)

Note: The hardest part of this project is the first part-making a very long chain, and then working into the very long chain for your foundation row. But to be honest, totally worth it!

Pattern: the pattern stitch is a multiple of 3 + 2 .
The stitch count is a multiple of 3, plus 2 stitches.
I have done 138 chain + 2

Foundation Row: after made 138+2 chains, 1 sc in to the second chain from the hool. and make sc in each chain accross until you reach the end of the row.
Row 1: ch 3, (counts as 1dc), 1 dc in the first sc, [skip 2 sc, 3dc into next sc], 2dc at the end of the sc.
Row 2: ch 3, (counts as 1dc), [3dc into next space between dc groups] repeat to last space. 3dc into last space and then 2dc into 3rd stitch of ch3 from previous row.
then repeat Row1 and 2....

Granny Stripe Blanket Edging : Tutorial

When I finished the blanket, I use solid blue colour for the edging.
I put the Tutorial of the edging for you. Please look at. (above)

Crochet: "Chain Links" for Xmas :)

Hi there,
Finally we are in 2015 :)
May the Season be bright and the year that's ahead turn out to be just right. With warmest wishes for Good Health and Happiness.
I wish you to have a Wonderful New Year !

anyway let's turn back to our "Crochet" again:)
while walking on the street I saw very nice paper ribbons on the shopwindow' they put it corner to corner, green, red and white! LOVE it.. I thought myself maybe I can do it like this with my hook :) When I came back to my home, started! I finished quickly because I would like to give it to my special friend IREM as a Xmas Gift!  She loved it and she send me a picture of it from her home:)Look at this, lovely! isn't it?

To be honest, it is very EASY and so much fun doing it!
Get your yarn and hook then start!
Here is the "Diagram" of it:

as you see, all single crochet!
Depends on your yarn and hook size, you can decide how many chains to make.. maybe you would like to start with 8 chains? or maybe 12 chains? I started with 10 chains. and 24 rows.

However when you made your second "CHAIN", before close it, you have to combine it with the first "CHAIN" then close it! Like this:

Then start to 3rd one... and combine it like this:

and go on ....
You can make a lot of "CHAIN"s,

You can use it as a CHAIN LINK like this

Or maybe you would like to make circle Chain Link!

.
I choose only red, green and white.. because I made a Xmas gift! But if you use different colours for each CHAINs,  honestly it will look excellent! You can decorate your party with it :)

Hope you like it,
Have fun!

Have a great day,
Oya Mearns
