Crochet: "Shell-ish" Pattern for Blanket

Hi there,

I found a picture of a lovely pattern in Internet, but I had to search and search to find an English ver. of it, then I started to make it with my own,,,  The Blanket as designed by a French Crocheter called Patty, and her website can be found here: http://pattycrochete/
But I made a little bid change of the patter. I used BACK LOOPS ONLY for each rows. (I did not use Front Loops),

  1. Love the pattern and plan on making it. However, can you tell me the pattern multiple? Is it 13 + 2? I'm not quite sure how you figured your chain. If I read chart correctly, which I'm not good at, I believe it shows a repeat pattern of 13 stitches and you plan on 9 repeats which would be the 13 x 9 = 117 but not understanding the ch 2 + 17 after that. Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for your help. Again a beautiful pattern.

  2. Starting: 13 x 9 = 117 ch +2 + 17 (incl. first 3 ch.) = 136 chains
    I have started like that.
total 136 chains then follow the written tutorial.
    :))) xoxoxoxoxox

    1. Thanks Oya for the quick reply but I wanted to make the blanket about 32 x 32 or 30 x 30 so was trying to figure out the pattern multiples. I'll start with the 136 chains and just add 13 stitches for each additional repeat I need. Thanks again for your help and quick reply. Continued success with your blog. Have a great day..Judy :)

  3. Sorry meant to ask how many skeins of the Nako Baby Tweed Joyful did you use? Thanks again..Judy :)

  4. I cannot remember but definitely min 5 balls I think:(
But you are right I have to write how many balls or how many gr of yarn I used :(
I am soooo excited to create something and make it then give some of my friends as a gift! Everything I have made I have given as gifts of love to my friends.
